SUMMER SCHOOL to be held from 5th July 2021 - 23rd July 2021.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 health crisis that is being experienced worldwide, and as a measure to ensure the continuity of our SUMMER SCHOOL, we have opted for offering our ULPGC ONLINE SPANISH SUMMER SCHOOL to be held from 5th July 2021 - 23rd July 2021.

Students (Level A1.2) will learn Spanish in a 3-week Intensive Program (60 hours) through a series of online courses, seminars, and fun interactive activities that will make you feel the culture and life in Spain, and particularly Gran Canaria. At the same time, students will be able to experience the life and culture of the countries of each participant.

The fee for our Online Spanish Summer School 2021 is 60 euros.

This includes:

  • 60 hours of communicative Spanish classes (equivalent to 6 ECTS credits).
  • Time: 9.00am -12.30pm (GMT time zone)
  • The maximum number of participants to be allocated are 30 students.
  • Tools to be used: Moodle ULPGC, BigBlueButton (BBB), Zoom.
  • Official certificate delivered by ULPGC after completion of the course.

Classes will be synchronous in local time in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain (GMT zone /Tokyo+8 hours/New York -5 hours).
The selection criteria will be country and center balance and academic record of the current academic year. You must include the academic transcript (pdf) in the application form.
Number of students: 30. In this edition, two scholarships for students of the Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) will be awarded in collaboration between the institutions.

In the event that the course should be oversubscribed acceptance will be carried out by the academic record.
Acceptance will be notified to the accepted students by email between the 24th and 28th of May 2021.
Once participants that have received the acceptation confirmation from the University of las Palmas de Gran Canaria, they will have to pay the course fee by bank transfer to the following account:
