Call for Applications Administration of mobility

 

If you are interested in Erasmus+ Credit Mobility for students:

  • Find out whether the partner institution we are cooperating with in the framework of Credit Mobility is offering study a programme/traineeship in your study field  - contact the coordinator for the given country to get more information
  • The call for applications usually happens alongside the call for bilateral agreements and European Erasmus+, nevertheless it can differ. For some countries, their may be an extraordinary call announced on the faculty or university level.
  • Find out the consequences of the mobility for your study (recognition of chosen courses...).
  • After the announcement of the call results, please follow the instruction (viz section Administration of mobility).

 

Academic Recogniton

  • Students have to fill in the Learning Agreement(LA) for Student Mobility for Studies (SMS) / Traineeship Agreement (TA) for Student Mobility for Placement (SMP) it has to be made in conformity with his study programme.
  • During the mobility for study it is obligatory to achieve 18 ECTS for every semester of the mobility. This is a precondition for Bachelor and Master students.
  • If the student fails to fulfil the precondition of achieving 18 ECTS, as is defined in the Grant Agreement, they will be asked to return a proportion of their financial support - 1/30 of financial support for every credit not achieved. This is not valid in the case of force majeure, in such a situation students have to immediately inform the MENDELU Erasmus+ institutional coordinator (michaela.mensikova@mendelu.cz).
  • Mobilities for Doctoral students must be agreed upon by his supervisor.
  • For doctoral students there is no compulsory number of credits.

Financial Support

  • Financial support Erasmus+ Credit Mobility is meant to cover the difference of higher expenditure connected with the mobility in the other country.
  • The scholarship is transferred to a EUR bank account owned by the student.
  • The scholarship consists of two components - financial support for the stay and travel expenses.
  • For outgoing students financial support for their stay consists of 700 EUR/monthly
  • Each month in the Erasmus+ programme is counted always as 30 days - in the event a student is returning earlier from their mobility, financial support is reduced by 1/30 of the monthly rate for each day that the mobility is shortened.
  • Travel distance is defined as the distance from Brno to the place of the mobility, there is a tool distance calculator you can use for counting the travel distance.
  • Travel expenses depend on the distance of travel.

  • Scholarship payment is based on the Grant Agreement (SMS) / Grant Agreement (SMP) – before the mobility 100%  of travel expenses and 70% of the total financial support for the stay will be transferred within 10 working days after the agreement is signed. This will occur no later than the beginning of the mobility, though usually not earlier than 10 working days before the mobility starts.
  • The rest of the scholarship; i.e. 30% of financial support for the stay will be transferred to the students bank account after they have fulfilled all their duties after their mobility. Duties include; delivering Confirmation and a Transcript of Records for SMS students and a Traineeship Certificate for SMP mobilities.
  • Each month in the Erasmus+ programme is counted always as 30 days - in the event a student is returning earlier from their mobility, financial support is reduced by 1/30 of the monthly rate for each day that the mobility is shortened.
  • For SMS student mobilities; if the preconditioned 18 ECTS as stated in the Grant Agreement are not accomplished, the student must refund 1/30 of financial support for every credit not achieved. For SMP mobilities; this situation is solved individually in cooperation with the faculty.
  • Financial support cannot be used to cover costs that are already covered from other activities/programmes of the EU - students cannot be the beneficiary of Erasmus Mundus (Joint Master Degree) and Erasmus+ scholarship simultaneously.

 Insurance

 

  • Students are obliged to insure themselves for their mobility with Travel Insurance offered for students and employees of MENDELU.

  

Conditions of the programme

 

  • Students must be enrolled on an accredited programme at MENDELU (Bachelor, Master or Doctoral).
  • Students must have successfully finished at least the first year of higher education.
  • The minimum length of a study period (SMS) is 3 months; for traineeships 2 months, the maximum length of stay is 12 months in the given academic year.
  • The sum of time for all mobilities of the student financed from Erasmus+ sources must not exceed 12 months for the given study cycle. 
  • Before and during the mobility, students are not allowed to  terminate or interrupt their study at MENDELU.
  • The selection criteria for the call for applications includes; study results, a language test and possibly a recommendation from the coordinator.
