If you are interested in studying at Mendel University in Brno supported by Erasmus+ Credit Mobility you need to be nominated for your stay. The nomination is done after the call for applications at your home university. In addition you will have to pass an English examination with our colleagues before you are accepted.
If you have been nominated, you can start preparing for your stay. Please don’t wait too long, the visa procedure takes several months, if you delay it is quite possible that you will miss the beginning of term or worse, you will not be able to come at all.
The first document you need to fill in and get signed at your home institution is the Learning Agreement (LA), for students coming for the Student Mobility for Study (SMS) programme or Traineeship Agreement (TA) for those coming for Student Mobility for Placement. The LA/TA has to be sent to our credit mobility team (firstname.lastname@example.org). For the Learning Agreement, you will find updated courses from our faculties here.
The deadlines for Learning Agreements/Traineeship Agreements (please note, this deadline is very strict!):
- Winter (Autumn) semester: 15 May
- Summer (Spring) semester: 15 October
After the approval of your LA/TA you will receive a Letter of Acceptance from us and then you should apply for your visa immediately. You will probably need to reserve your accommodation before your Visa application. For some countries there is a special, faster procedure for student visas, we will inform you if it is applicable in your case, if so we will apply for your appointment at the embassy. In any case you need to follow the instructions on the embassy web pages. Here you can find useful information and links concerning visa matters and insurance.
In the meantime, while you are waiting for your visa we kindly ask you to fill in the Grant Agreement (SMS) / Grant Agreement (SMP) form with your personal data and send it to us (email@example.com), please read the agreement carefully and do not hesitate to ask us if you have any questions. Please pay attention also to the General Conditions and Erasmus Student Charter, they are annexes to the Grant Agreement.
Before your arrival we will ask you to send us confirmation of your travel and health insurance covering the entirety of your stay and to fill in the data for your bank account application.
At the beginning of each semester the International Relations Office together with the European Student Network are organise a Welcome Week for incoming students, we encourage you to apply for this event, it is a great way for you to begin your experience at our university. You will receive information about registration from us in due course.
